The most common July call is a condenser that hums and blows warm. In many cases it is a capacitor, contactor, or fan motor we can change from the truck. We still measure amp draw so a dying compressor does not get a Band-Aid.
We do not 'top up' refrigerant on a leak and walk away. If the charge is low we look for the leak, tell you the options, and only weigh in what the system is supposed to hold after the leak is handled.
