Furnace Installation in Edmonton

Sized for Alberta design days, not a guess from square footage. We replace the old furnace, set the venting to code, and leave you with even heat and a system that starts on the first cold night.

High-efficiency furnace installed in an Edmonton mechanical room Heating · Edmonton

Built for −30°C, not a brochure climate

Canadian furnaces fail in January because they were undersized, short-cycled for years, or left with venting that no longer meets code. We start with a heat-loss look at the house - insulation, windows, and how the ducts actually run - then pick a two-stage or modulating gas furnace that can idle instead of blasting and shutting off.

The old unit comes out in one piece. We correct the gas line, intake, exhaust, and condensate so a high-efficiency furnace can actually run in condensing mode. Then we fire it, measure combustion, set the blower for the duct system, and walk you through the thermostat and filter size before we pack up.

How we do it

The visit, step by step

1

Measure the house

Heat loss first. We do not copy the data plate on a 20-year-old furnace that was already wrong.

2

Pull the old unit

Safe disconnect, haul-away, and a clean pad. Mechanical rooms are left sweepable.

3

Set venting and gas

New PVC or approved venting, condensate safety, and a leak-tested gas connection.

4

Commission heat

Combustion numbers, temperature rise, and a thermostat schedule you can actually use.

Included

What you are actually buying

  • High-efficiency gas furnace matched to the home
  • Old furnace removal and disposal
  • Venting, gas, and condensate to current code
  • Compatible thermostat programming
  • Combustion and airflow report
  • Filter size and change interval written down

Book this when

  • The furnace is 15+ years old or the heat exchanger is suspect
  • Bedrooms never catch up on the first −20°C night
  • You want the replacement done before a no-heat weekend
  • A repair quote is getting close to the cost of a new unit

Questions we actually get

How long does a furnace install take?

A straight replacement in an accessible mechanical room is usually done in a day. Tight closets, chimney liners, or electrical upgrades can add time - we tell you that before we book the truck.

Do I need a new thermostat?

Not always. Two-stage and modulating furnaces need a thermostat that can call the extra stages. If yours cannot, we include a matching control so you actually get the efficiency you paid for.

Will I have heat the same night?

That is the goal. We do not leave a house without heat in winter. If a part is delayed, we set temporary heat and come back.

What about rebates?

High-efficiency equipment sometimes qualifies. We bring the model numbers and help you fill the forms - we do not promise a rebate that the program already closed.
